Wyoming Frontier Prison

If you are visiting Rawlins, you will definitely want to tour this historic landmark. Explore 3 cell blocks and the spooky gas chamber where unfortunate prisoners met their end.

Carbon County Museum

The Carbon County Museum preserves and interprets the rich heritage of Carbon County and the diversity of its communities to inspire an appreciation of the past.

Fort Steele

Fort Steele is a former military post located in Carbon County, Wyoming. Established in 1868, it was named in honor of Colonel Frederick Steele of the 20th U.S. Infantry.

Hanna Basin Museum

The Hanna Basin Museum, located in the old Community Hall building, is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in the history of Wyoming.

Medicine Bow Museum

Constructed in November 1913. the Medicine Bow Museum is situated in the town of Medicine Bow, Wyoming, and is housed in the old railroad depot building.

Elk Mountain Museum

Welcome to the Elk Mountain Museum, where we aim to preserve the story of this quaint little town, the surrounding ranches, and the ghost towns around us.

Saratoga Museum

The Saratoga Museum is a gem of a find in the town's original c. 1915 Union Pacific Railroad Depot. The museum offers visitors a chance to explore the history of the Platte Valley.

Grand Encampment Museum

The Grand Encampment Museum in Encampment, Wyoming is home to over a dozen historical buildings filled with artifacts that represent the valley's timber, mining, and agricultural history.

Little Snake River Museum

The Little Snake River Museum offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich history of the secluded ranching valley. With over 15 historic buildings and countless exhibits, and stories of a bygone era.

Baggs Outlaw Stop

Offers a unique opportunity to explore the history of the infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy and his gang. The site consists of two buildings: the Mathews/Gaddis House and the Baggs Town Hall/Fire Station/Jail.

Mormon Handcart Museum

The Mormon Handcart Historic Site and Museum commemorate the tragic events that occurred during the journey of the Martin and Willie Handcart Companies from Iowa City to Salt Lake City in 1856.

Parco/Sinclair Museum

The Parco Museum is located in what was once the FNB of Parco, Wyoming. The bank opened on July 5, 1924, and operated until June 1, 1933, when it transferred its business to the FNB of Rawlins.
